Mr Watkins has been part of Penrith’s High Street since 2017; a neighbourhood café & bar built around good food, great drinks and bringing people together. Watkins was created from a genuine love of hospitality and years spent working in restaurants, bars and events both here in Australia and abroad.

Since opening our doors, we’ve always wanted it to feel like somewhere welcoming with an eclectic hint but full of personality. Watkins has evolved over the years, but the heart of what we do has always stayed the same: good hospitality & good times.

​

By day, we’re your local café, serving great coffee, breakfast and lunch seven days a week in the heart of Penrith, at the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Western Sydney. And after years of late nights, dinners, drinks, live music, trivia and plenty of celebrations, the next chapter of Mr Watkins is all about events, functions and experiences that bring people together.

Our inviting High Street space is available for private hire for milestone birthdays, engagement parties, weddings, corporate events, long lunches and celebrations that don’t quite fit into a box. Sprinkled in amongst the mix, we’re supporting live music and shows via our ticketed events throughout the year. Think burlesque shows, hoedowns, jazz nights, themed trivia and whatever else we think sounds like a good time! It’s our way of keeping Watkins alive after dark and giving locals and visitors something a little different to experience in Western Sydney.
